1. Who we are

2. What information we collect

We collect only what we need:

• If you join our email list: your email address, and your name if the form asks for it. The sign-up form is run by Brevo.
• If you buy something: your name, email address and order details, which our checkout provider Payhip passes to us. Payment details are handled by PayPal and never reach us.
• If you commission a personalised song: the details you email us, such as your child's first name, age and favourite things.
• If you email us: your email address and what you write.

When you register on this site, your name, your child's nickname, age range and chosen avatar are saved in your own browser, on your own device. We do not receive them and we cannot see them.

We do not collect information directly from children. All child profiles are created and managed by a parent aged 18+. We never ask for a surname, photo or contact details for your child.

3. How we use your information

• To send you emails you have signed up for, such as free calm tools and new content. You can unsubscribe in any email.
• To process shop orders and deliver your downloads
• To create your personalised song when you commission one
• To reply to emails sent to hello@avaandmilo.com

We never sell your data. We never use child profiles for advertising.

We keep your email address on our list until you unsubscribe. We keep order records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.

4. Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies or analytics tools on this site. The site uses your browser's local storage to remember your sign-in and your child's profile on your device. Some services embedded in the site, such as the Bunny.net video player, the Brevo sign-up form and Payhip checkout, may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. If we add analytics (for example Google Analytics) we will add a cookie banner and update this section.

5. Third-party services

We use trusted providers to run the site:

• Netlify: website hosting
• Brevo: our email list and sign-up forms
• Payhip and PayPal: checkout, payments and delivery of digital downloads
• Bunny.net: streaming of our videos and songs
• Google Fonts: the fonts used on this site, loaded from Google's servers
• Google Workspace / Gmail: email at hello@avaandmilo.com
• YouTube: if you follow links to our channel, YouTube's own privacy policy applies

No child profile data is shared with third parties for marketing, and none is sent to any of these providers.

6. Children's privacy

Protecting children's privacy is our priority. Child profiles contain minimal information: a first name or nickname, an age range and an avatar. They are stored only in your own browser, are never sent to us, and are never used for advertising. We have designed the site to collect as little information about children as possible.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email: hello@avaandmilo.com and we will reply within one month. Child profiles are stored only on your device, so you can remove them yourself at any time by logging out or by clearing this site's data in your browser. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be posted on this page and emailed to our email list.
